Classic Transmitter Programming

To program the Classic transmitter refer to your maintenance and installation guide, or follow the instructions below.

  1. Press and hold the "+" button, then press and hold the "-" button.  Release both buttons as soon as the Red LED blinks.  You are now in programming mode.
  2. Press and release one button corresponding to the button you want to program.
  3. Enter your nine digit code by pressing and releasing the "+", "0", and "-" buttons in whatever sequence you desire.  When you enter the last code the Red LED will blink twice letting you know your code is accepted and that button is programmed.

Note: Above instructions pertain to 9931, 8832, and 8833 transmitters, those with three position dip switches.  For 9921 and 8822 transmitters, those with two position dip switches, there is a slight programming difference.  Press the "-" first, then the "+" to get into programming mode, and only use the "+" and "-" buttons when entering your code.  For detailed instructions refer to the Classic programming literature, available below in .pdf format.
