Subject:  Overload Sensitivity on Bi-Parting Installations

The GS4000 may be installed as a bi-parting system.  This is when two mechanical units (motors) are connected to a single control panel.  In this type of  installation, the overload may become too sensitive or too difficult to adjust.  To compensate for the additional motor load, JP1 may be removed from the motor control board (see the diagram below).

Procedure:  Disconnect power from the operators and the motor control board.  Using a small wire-cutter, carefully remove JP1.  Reapply power and test overload setting per the instructions in the Gate Star 4000 manual.
