ALLSTAR TECHNICAL NOTE

Product: Tec-Key Mini Transmitters
Subject: Setting the Code Switch to Match the Receiver

To fit inside the mini case, Tec-Key mini transmitters use a different style code switch than used in the Tec-Key receivers.  While functionally the same, visually it appears that the on and off positions are reversed between the transmitter and receiver.

The key to correctly setting the code switches is the arrow that is marked on the switches.  To turn a code switch on, move the switch in the direction of the arrow.  To turn a code switch off, move the switch in the opposite direction of the arrow.

To illustrate the photos below show the code switch in the mini transmitter and receiver.  The switches are coded so that the transmitter will operate the receiver.
